If you weren’t with me, you were against me. If you weren’t my friend, you were my foe. Thriving on control and power was the only way I knew how to live. I played God while I was rotting in Hell. With so much blood on my hands, I was surprised I could still see my own skin. I didn’t know darkness and evil lurked inside me until I had to murder in order to survive. Robinson, is LIVE & FREE on KINDLE UNLIMITED! Be warned this author does not pull any light punches she goes straight for the jugular.EL SANTO, by USA Today bestselling author M. If you are looking for something dark and twisted, this is it. If you are looking for a HEA, this is not it. I am looking forward to see how Amira grows and I have a feeling that our villain/hero is going to be a leader of his own. Then the author throws a curveball and left us on a cliff hanger. I loved the build-up when he finally admitted to himself and Amira how he truly felt. Robinson did not go lightly on us and I know she will pick up many mixed reviews on this story. You understand the fear to protect those that you love.

You can understand the fear that the leader inflicts on those who do not follow his orders. The author has set the scene by bringing in elements of Cuba’s history and I have to commend her for this. He becomes her very worst nightmare even though he knows he loves her. He realizes that she loves him and knows that this is the worst decision she can have. Years pass and he becomes everything to her. Amira witnessed her family killing and yet, she sees the light in Damien. The only person who never fears him is the girl he saved, Amira. He becomes the best soldier of communist Cuba, protecting his leader at all costs. Forced into the crime of killing a family, he still has the sense to hide one little girl who will forever be the light in his unfortunate life. For the first time, he does not look up to the people that have raised him but he knows there is no getting out of this life. At 18 years of age, he is forced on his first mission, which will forever change the course of his life. He has been groomed to be the perfect soldier by his father and the dictator, Emilio Salazar of Cuba. At times he is not a hero, he is a villain.

El Santo by M Robinson Damien El Santo is not your typical hero.
